Great War Weekend


A free event to coincide with Anzac Day. Learn about the cruical role played by Cannock Chase in the Great War. Experience life as a soldier training on the Chase in a genuine barrack. Experts will be on hand providing information and to answer your questions.

Nature Day

This event will take place in the John O'Leary Centre and is part of the national 'Discovering Places' initiative for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad and includes activities such as pond dipping, bug hunts, mask making and much more.

The estate is transformed into a magical winter wonderland as the Mansion House and Servants quarters are candlelit and decorated with real fl owers, holly and traditional trimmings.
Costumed characters will tell the story of Christmases past plus there will be brass bands, carol singers, fun fair, snow showers, entertainers and a large gift and food marquee.
